Lying north of Mira Monte and a few strolls away from the dining, shopping, and attractions of Ojai Village is a quaint neighborhood nestled in the heart of the Valley. This community, which is located near Lake Casitas and the Ventura river with its many hiking trails, is known as Meiners Oaks.
Acquired by John Meiners, a German native, in the 1870s, this former Southern California oak grove was quickly established into a ranch with several hundred acres used for growing lemons, apricots, oranges, plum, wheat, and barley.
Today, Meiners Oaks is a landscape of cozy single-family homes nestled among lush greenery. With mostly sunny weather all year round, it is the ideal location for outdoorsy people who want to reside in one of California’s most sought-after cities.
